Ult is ''r e a d y''

So I was just in a bad game, and I was playing Warwick, I was coming to stop the enemy team from elder, thinking their jungler was soloing it. Then out of nowhere the entire team came and got me, I tried to ult right before my death for escape but it didn't work and so it was cooling down while i was dead. However, whenever I pinged the cool down it kept on saying that it was r e a d y. Yeah right, there was like a minute of cooling down left. Also earlier in the game I was in a fight and tried to ult multiple times but it just didn't load.
