Friend is playing XX champion bug

When I look at my list, a good 1/4 of the people in game don't list what champion they're playing. Everyone else is always wrong. I had someone on my list "Playing Syndra" while he was playing Nautilus, someone else playing "Ezreal" while playing Tryndamere, and a few more. Been happening for a patch or two at most, I can't quite remember.

Same here. I guess since patch 6.1? So far for me it's about 50/50 whether it says any champion at all. If it DOES say a champion, that's about 50/50 of being the wrong champion.
