Time Bug

So there is a bug that happens to me evey time I load up league, no matter what I do, I cant seem to shake it, its been going on for like 3 seasons and ive never found a fix.

So basically, let say I went to go make some food, and I come back to my computer and see that my friend is in game and I wanna play with them, the first thing I do? mouse over his/her name, and see the match time. it end up being either - -:- - or something absurd like 72:98 (I realise there cant be 98 seconds, I'm not a retard, its for demonstration purposes) so I wanna clarify what the actual time of their game is, so I ask ''how long u been in game 4'' they reply ''just got in, jg didn't spawn yet''

HMM?? 72 minutes and blue isn't there yet, ho ho must be a bug. or the/my client is broke.

if u had this problem and u managed to fix it, please let me know, its kindof annoying :v
