[CLIENT] Accepted queue but champion select did not appear

Just recently I got myself in queue for ranked solo/duo. However, when I accepted the queue timer, the new client did not send me to champ select and instead I was stuck in the queue screen. Thinking that someone forgot to accept the queue, I tried re-queue-ing but it did not let me press any button. After restarting the client, I get a message saying I dodged a champion select and got all the penalties for it (-3 lp and 5 min wait). Is there a quick way to fix this so the same does not happen again please?

P.S. It is my first time experiencing this bug so I am uncertain whether it's my computer's fault.
