[CLIENT] Champion Select Chat Messages Stop Appearing

This has been going on for the past 2 patches now, and since I don't know what's exactly causing it, I'm going to assume it's a bug. And it's quite an annoying bug at that. What happens is after playing a few games or leaving the client open for a long period of time, when i start another game and get into champ select, no messages appear in the chat, even the ones that I send. The only text that shows up in the chat is "[username] has joined the room" for each summoner, but no messages. It's seriously getting on my nerves, especially since you never know when it could happen. The only way I've know to fix it is just restarting the client, but in order to avoid a penalty I have to not choose a champion and wait out the timer for a queue dodge, which is annoying to other players.

This bug hadn't changed much until this morning when i started a game. The champ select chat was working fine, we were exchanging chat messages fine, and then someone queue dodged and i had to find another game. I found another game and the champ select chat in that was working fine until suddenly it just stopped showing new messages, even my own! I'm not sure if any other people out there are experiencing this bug occasionally, but it sure is getting on my nerves.
