Champ Select/In Queue freeze

My game randomly freezes without warning, specifically when searching for a game and in champ select. If it's searching for a game the clock will continue to count up even though i can't cancel out of the queue. If it's champion select it will randomly choose a summoner and saying summoner blank is choosing and show zero. Each of these issues usually are fixed if i restart my whole computer but obviously that's annoying.
