So the game was working perfectly fine few hours ago. Then i close it and now it says unspecific error has occurred, please check the log for more information? I checked the forums and someone said that it's because lol client self update failed? He did say how to solve it but i'm using a macbook and it doesn't work. Can some one plz help? :(

Having the same issue was in the middle of a game now i can't return can't even open client.

For mac users, my girlfriend has this problem and all she did was go to her downloads folder in her finder and copied the LoL application and pressed replace. She then right clicked and pressed open from the downloads folder.
Worked like magic.

There was a DNS issue earlier in the day which has been resolved - but unfortunately due to how DNS works, replication may take some time to hit your DNS server.
Right now there is a workaround available in using Google's Public DNS servers - please follow the instructions here which should help you get back up and running:
