[GAMEPLAY] Jarvan Cataclysm Oddity

This Jarvan ult bug seems a little different from the many other bugs reported here already. I'm not exactly sure what happened as it was the last 5 seconds of a game we were losing. I spawned with homeguard boots and ran at a Singed attacking our nexus. He was standing right next to the nexus and I think that's important. When I ulted him, I did the jump and it made the sound effect, but no walls came up and I could swear that the button/icon for my ult was indicating that it was NOT on cool down! I went to try and use my ult again and it looked like the icon took the input (might have gone on cool down at this point, not sure), but nothing happened (the ult did not go off).

I suspect this is related to using Jarvan's ult on someone standing near the nexus (in this case Jarvan's own nexus). This is the first time it's ever happened to me, but I've only recently started playing Jarvan.
