Legacy client retired? I wonder what for exactly?

Sooooo what am i suppose to do when it tells me that my client is outdated even though i've already played games on this patch? my internet briefly shut off and now its on but even though i've restarted my PC i still can't access the game. this is obviously going to get me reported for afk and frankly i don't care whether or not im a habitual afker or reportively one because i cant stand afks in my own game.
