[GAMEBREAKING][GAMEPLAY]Mordekaiser's Ghost of Jhin is Bugged to the point of Gamebreaking

I recreated this bug report because the lack of "gamebreaking" in the title did not do it justice, after I did more testing and discovered the depth of this bug.

EDIT: On the question of "is this even gamebreaking?", people are thinking of something that crashes the game. Is this just another bug? Mostly. But when Mordekaiser kills Jhin with 1 bullet remaining, it becomes "broken" when it makes for a clearly one-sided fight. I did not call for a champion disable, that is not my decision.

Details: When Mordekaiser kills Jhin and gets his ghost, the ghost spawns and DOES NOT reload, but rather continuously shoots. There are different interactions depending on WHEN Jhin died, and this can cause a gamebreaking bug.

Reproduction:

  1. Ult Jhin as Mordekaiser.
  2. Kill Jhin to get his ghost.
  3. Get Jhin's ghost to attack things. He will never pause to reload.

Frequency: This bug has happened 100% of the time, at a total of four possible occurrences between two games.

Evidence:

Interaction One - Part One of the Morde-Jhin bug as Jhin is killed at full ammo. He does NOT reload, and on his 5th shot he noticeably says "One!" signaling his first shot, but did not crit on his 4th.

Interaction Two - Part Two of the Morde-Jhin bug is the most gamebreaking. When Jhin dies at 1 bullet remaining, his ghost will spawn at 1 bullet and CONSISTENTLY DEAL THE BONUS DAMAGE WITHOUT RELOADING. This would allow insane damage for a Mordekaiser in terms of killing everything he sees. Some attacks deal an extra 100 or so damage, due to Jhin's crit chance (working as intended).

Interaction Three - Part Three of the Morde-Jhin bug report shows that Jhin can still reload out of combat, dealing his cycle of damage without pausing to "formally" reload and critting on 4th attacks. Some attacks do an additional 100 or so damage due to Jhin's crit chance (working as intended).

Interaction Four - Part Four of the Morde-Jhin bug shows that odd things happen when Jhin is killed during his reload. He crits the super minion for massive damage continuously, but then alternates between normal attacks and normal crits (50% crit chance) on the melee and caster minions without doing his 4th shot crit.

EDIT: I need to test this against another champion. I noticed that Jhin's fourth shot deals bonus execute damage, probably causing the odd interactions with super minions vs the melee/caster minions.

Interaction Five (Graves) - Part Five shows that Graves works as intended. He shoots twice and reloads. His bullet indicator remained at zero, but that's a pretty minor visual bug.

Interaction Six (Yorick/Jhin) - Part Six shows that Yorick can ult an ally Jhin at one bullet, causing the same effect as Mordekaiser, but for an ally at any time, despite being a much shorter duration.

Interaction Seven (Yorick/Jhin) - Part Seven shows that the "reanimation" created when Yorick's ulted target dies works as intended. Reloads and casts spells right where Jhin left off.

EDIT: PLEASE upvote and comment on this thread to raise awareness! Riot Games needs to see this bug before it is abused!

Does this stop all reloading such as Graves because if it does then Riot needs to fix Mordekaiser's Ult interaction with reloading champions

This is one of the best bug reports I've ever seen on these boards, well done. Definitely needs looking at, and I'm also curious about Graves.

lol Where is malicious metal. He needs to see this

what if this is a special interaction? well, since morde capture the spirit of his dying victim, therefore preserving the in time and space, ya know?

I can see this getting a lot of down votes...

Malicious Metal now has a great way to exploit all the Jhins in ranked

Hmmm... what about Yorick's ultimate? It'd be even more gamebreaking with him as you can coordinate it.

Technically its not a bug. Morde's ghost coding locks a champion at that instance they were killed. Since Jhin is a ranged champion that needs to reload (would have to test this on Graves) the coding probably locks him at whatever instance he was at. It's kinda like how I use cheat engine on certain games for unlimited ammo. It freezes the ammo count at a specific number and this is probably how the ghost coding works. The ammo system is relatively new so its expected to have some unexpected results. Granted Grave's would be less punishing than a 100% ap crit plus % missing HP, it is a minor annoyance none the less.

@Malicious Metal is gonna be proud of this

Well if this wasn't abused before, It's gonna be now :p

I've only had a jhin ghost once, and i noticed that he never used any ammo. I thought this was intended, but your analysis went above and beyond, and showed that there are issues beyond the initial thing. gj dude!

I was about to report this exact thing when i saw this thread. In my game, when I died with a morde ult on me, My ghost (Jhin) always had his 4th shot active and was doing the crit damage on every shot. I killed our mid lane with two aa's and they destroyed our tier 2 mid tower just using my ghost. He never reloaded and always had the shot active.

I don't see it being an easy bug to abuse honestly.... It would be kind of hard to make sure that you wait til the 4th shot to kill him but it should still be fixed to where he uses his ammo as he normally does and has to reload because it will happen eventually and as you said can easily destroy in fights with that much dmg

Not gamebreaking at all. Hard to replicate, unlikely to happen once, yet alone twice in 1 game, and only last 30 seconds. Plus morde is underpowered anyway. Do it in a real game with real players and post the video, then we will talk.

i find it pretty funny that you think the champion with the worst win ratio in league has an overpowered mechanic.

but does the passive truly proc?

i mean, animation wise and so on it acts as if he has only a bullet, but damage wise?
