Wards.

I was wondering why when you shoot wards "blood" looking particles splatter outward. I mean do wards really have blood? Just thought I would ask for some clarification or maybe a "to be fixed thing." I saw this here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzNWOaK3qF8&index=6&list=UU0NwzCHb8Fg89eTB5eYX17Q and I was also thinking it might be something to do with the one of Tristana's ability's.
