Any one noticed that Morde's dragon is really stubborn?

Something I've noticed when playing Morde is that the dragon will at times half way follow orders as if he's pretending to be Charizard. He'll attack but only if I constantly tell him to and even then he'll at times get distracted by the butterflies by looking away from the enemy, try to leave the fight or cancel his attacks.

This was something I thought was isolated only to me, assumed my mouse and keys were freaking out until I saw other people having the issue.

If i'd have to guess what causes the problem it's the idea that Morde's ult might be programmed to return to him after a certain distance but dragon doesn't tp back to him it does whatever. My guess is that it's trying to warp back but can't so it seems stubborn. When it goes too far it'll fly back seemingly ignoring orders.
