Game Crash, The Tyranny of BugSplat

Often while loading a game I Alt+Tab to surf around while I wait for the game to load.

However, whenever I Alt+Tab I get bugsplatted and have to reconnect. On occasion when I try to reconnect, it will give me a message claiming there is no internet connection. Initially I thought that in order to fix that I would need to completely close out and log back into League because that did work a few times. Earlier I tried the same thing but it did not work and told me that there was no internet connection available. So I am uncertain as to what exactly is the fix to get it working again. I continued to try reconnecting and eventually it went through.

There is one thing I did notice. Every time I've been able to reconnect, the loading screen only displays myself loading along with 9 empty portraits. This leads me to believe that the only way I can connect to the game after the bugsplat is if everyone else is already in game.

The bugsplat happens every time I Alt+Tab and there have been no special occasions when it didn't splat. This started happening after the most recent patch and it has never happened before.

Bumping because even though I've gotten used to not Alt-Tabbing, someone called me on Skype mid game which caused League to Alt-Tab and I got another bugsplat.

Im having the exact same problem everytime that it says no internet (after the bugsplat) I have to restart my computer, it sucks because im so used to changing my song or entering a call. Let me know if you found a way to fix.
