Links in Client broken and not opening browser

Recently my client will open and when I choose to click the links on articles (fan art, patch notes, etc.) they don't open the browser anymore and nothing happens. Because of this I think the new options to connect with Facebook hasn't been working either. I have already reinstalled LoL and still the same issue. I have been hoping each patch would fix it. I've had this issue for a month or so now. Please let me know what I can do to resolve it!
