League stops responding when trying to gift

I've been trying to mystery gift and send RP to friends for the passed month and i haven't been able to. The moment i click on an option to send, it freezes my client and says "League of Legends is not responding." I try to wait for it to respond and still nothing happens. The only thing i can do is completely close my client and restart it. Then the process starts all over again.
