Since you disabled him no one can play him!! how is it possible to get the free skin then, if hes disabled for the whole duration of this event? more over give us a means to check if we are eligible to earn the skin or not, cause i feel I might have played him 1-2x after his rework but i dont know if that got counted for the event or not since it was like right when his rework was placed live, but after that i didn't get the chance to and since then hes been disabled!
He's going to be re-enabled with a patch before the event ends.
Riot's trolling you nothing is ever free in life this is just a valuable lesson and they took it upon themselves to teach the masses. You should be thanking them they are preparing you for the future.

Gangplank will be re-enabled before the event ends on August 10th.
If you played Gangplank at any point during the event (including before he was disabled), you'll receive the Captain Gangplank skin. Any match made game counts towards the skin - just no customs. As a note, you'll need to own Gangplank before the event ends to receive the skin. If you played him while he was F2P, it still counts as playing him, but you'll need to purchase Gangplank before the event ends.
You can try checking your match history to see if you've played him, as long as it was fairly recent.
