Every time I open League of Legends I have to update it when I updated it the day before

There was no new update within one night, I do not want to update it again because it took me an hour to update it the day before. This may be because of my current League Launcher being out dated (not up to date with current updates), if so how can I make my League Launcher to be up to date because whenever I open League of Legends it puts me to an old update and a different login screen. The date by the way is April 24, 2019.
