[GAMEPLAY] Nautilus hook bug

Badger Teemo··2 votes·1,504 views

I have seen it before many times but I was never sure if I saw it correctly or not. This last game I was certain I was right so I even went to replay and record it.

The problem is when Nautilus hooks and it doesn't quite reach the opponent, he still catches the opponent for some odd reason.

Nautilus range is actually longer than what the marker says. Whevever you catch something outside the marker range that happens, I believe is small lagg while the game decides what you caught.

So basicly you just said it is bugged because marker and range are in disagreement. That's what I just reported and asking a fix for that.

Yupp. And I'm telling you that is not worth fixing it as well. Since they probably will have to redraw the cast range

Why, if it is easier to just match the cast range with the visuals. Anyway, it's quite stupid enough to see that you dont really have to hook anything to count it as a hook so they might aswell nerf the range by a Teemo and it would make so much more sense.

Nerfing the range would hurt him more than you think. The range is what sets his hook apart from thresh and blitz. Their ranges aren't as big but can go through terrain. When I play naut, I usually get at least one hook like the one shown here for a kill.

No need to say that, but it doesn't change the fact that it is bugged and needs to be fixed somehow. Hey, they even changed the snowball size visually in ARAM because the size did not match the visuals.

Any veteran player knows that Naut range goes a tad longer than intended and will use it to its advantage. Is no different than the thresh hook than double in size (in a cone shape) at the tip. Is just a way to make calculation easier and make the game runs smoothly.

As on the other range that Teemo woudl have seen no difference since he can't see the cast range and he can only eyeball the distances so is not like he feel cheated by the system (he woudl feel more cheated about a tresh hook than a naut one anyway)

Sure I did feel cheated by the system because it did not seem like he was going to reach me from there AND he didn't AND "the system" even agreed on that for a millisecond or so before thinking that.. well, screw this Teemo, let's ruin his lane some more.

A hook that does not hook, let alone TOUCH you, should not hook.

Is unfortunate you feel that way since, specially since you dodged that ability the worst possible way (staying on the path of the hook instead of sidesteping towards your lane.

Uh? I was going towards my lane. Only way to not get on its path was to face Lee Sin. But all of this does not matter anyway. It's a bug, I have reported it, asking for a solution.

You can't just say that it is normal just because it is. It did not hit so it should not affect me but it did. A BUG.
