Hextech Reroll

Don't know if this is a bug or just my misunderstanding.

I rerolled the TPA Ezreal (750), Volcanic Wukong (975) and Masked Shaco (975) skin shards last night. All three were champions I didn't own and have no real intention of ever playing. I was under the impression that if you rerolled skins, you were guaranteed a skin for a champion you owned.

So... I was a bit surprised to get a Permanent Haunting Nocturne (520). Yea... don't plan to ever play him either, though I would have conceded the issue if getting the skin had automatically added him to my champion pool. But I actually have to buy him to use a permanent skin in my loot? What the...?

If this is not a bug, I feel a bit stupid and wonder why there even is a reroll function in the skins if it doesn't prioritize champions you own. I would have disenchanted these shards instead, which I know is 1/3 the RP value for unowned skins. This means I would have acquired 900 orange essences from those three shards instead of the 200 some I got from the Nocturne [I believe I got 213 which is more than 1/3 but was probably boosted for being permanent or the 520 skins operate differently].

If its a bug... it would be nice if Riot randomly gave me a 520 skin for a champion I owned. I don't really have any preferences. I keep a pretty small champion pool so I don't have to play favorites.

If its my understanding, I don't really expect anything though it would have been nice to have 700 extra essence. Might come in handy if I get a skin shard I want to make permanent.

It actually used to be like that. Rerolling 3 skins used to give you a skin that you had a champion for. Sadly people used this to cheat the system into giving them hextech Annie for cheap on new smurf accounts, so they ended up stealth changing the system into what it is.

I've been having the same dissatisfaction with re-rolling shards. You'd think, if Riot is as smart as they should be, you'd at least have the option after the roll to disenchant those shards instead of accepting the random permanent. At least if you get a random skin for a champion you don't have (or want) you can disenchant it, unlike with champion shards, but then you get less essence than if you disenchanted those shards in the first place!

I combined 6300 champion with a 1350 and an 3150; I was really expecting an 6300 but I got an 4800 sejuani and champ I don't ever look forward to playing, because I put in a 6300 I believe When I re roll I should get a random champion of the highest amount of ip champion I put it.

Would it be a smart idea to reroll Infernal Nasus ( 1820) Firefighter Tristana (1820) and Gatekeeper Galio (1820)? Do you guys think it would be a better idea to either make them permanent or disenchant them rather than reroll them?
