Elise spider q+Braum Shield

During my last game I was playing Elise, when I went to q on a target to execute, however there was a Braum with his shield in between which somehow blocked my q. I believe this to be a bug as Braum's shield is supposed to block incoming projectiles, which a lunge certainly is not.
