The client is completely oblivious to the fact that your session has been dropped/desynced

My computer setup is very generic, therefore I assume this is a common occurence. In champion select, something disrupts the connection, a bug whatever, and you become desynced, timers block at 0, the screen is static waiting for information from the server. Maybe, if I waited five or more minutes the connection might time out, or the server will respond in some way. But, I like any person dealing with a buggy session, just close the client and restart. This is the technically correct response. I am a software developer and you will never convince me otherwise. You could argue that it is a critical session, like the software that manages a nuclear reactor, and every effort must be taken to repair the session before falling back to a restart.

I do not compare a riot connection to nuclear control software. Clearly Riot disagrees, because you are penalized for dodging. As a user I am extremely offended that I am being penalized for the shortcomings of Riot's software. And let's not pretend this is a uncommon issue, it happens in game and during the game load screen all the time. The only difference is you can close and reopen the client and it knows that you were in a game and attempts to recover the session for you.

NEVER PENALIZE A USER BECAUSE YOUR SOFTWARE ISN'T ROBUST ENOUGH!
