i've seen this randomly before too
one time i saw my friend online who hasnt played in over a year, i was SO excited to play with him that i waited for his game to be done and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited then almost 2 hours into his game i started spamming him with messages asking how long his game will be, how it isnt done yet, how many towers are left no response i was so SO excited though so i waited and waited and waited and waited and waited FOUR HOURS OF MY LIFE GONE i waited for a game to end that never even took place
i asked him about it a few days later when i saw him, thought it musta been an epic game and because it lasted so long i assumed he HAD to log off right as it was done though i was still upset he didnt at least msg to say hi sry cant talk or anything
turns out he was never online, no game happened, i waited for nobody to finish a non existent game because rito lied to me
