Apperently now that the new season started, I am silver

Before even finishing my placements, I can no longer play with the people I was playing with a day before. Like nevermind that I was literally playing with these people a day before hand no siree. You know being plat and all and suddenly not allowed to play with other plats really is nice.

Explain this to me right now. Why am I tagged as a silver player
