Azir Soldier Attack (Not sure if intended)

I'm not sure if this is intended, but if Azir attacks with his soldier and then moves, the attack doesn't go off. It gets really annoying because you can't dodge the enemy skillshot AND attack for yourself. If normal basic attacks follow through when you move after, why don't his soldiers?
