[Crash] Game freezing in matchmaking lobby/hextech crafting

Since 6.17 I (as well as some of my friends) have had issues with league randomly clashes. It freezes, you can still click buttons and timers keep going but nothing happens. Then windows tells you League isn't working and asks you to close the program or wait to respond. It happens as soon as you enter a matchmaking lobby or hextech crafting tab. In matchmaking people see you instantly leave the room. I even tried to relog and when I tried to play another game it actually brought me back into the room and showed me the bans I missed. (My friends confirmed they were no longer in that room) and at the end of a timer it kicked me out. I ended up losing 3 lp and a 5 minute wait. If you pick a champ and just keep clicking wait on program until the game starts then you can still play. If it happens before you pick a champ you are out of luck. Anyone else have this happen?
