I just got a new computer today, a PC, and I'm trying to install League onto it. I have downloaded the client, and the install goes fine, up until about 80%. At 260 mb left, the download ceases, and won't finish. I know it's not an issue with my computer or the Internet, because I've been able to fully download Steam games fine. I have deleted all files related to the game and redownloaded the installer, and the same result still happens.
To answer this, I had the same question myself but i was patient about it. I figured out that though it has stopped at 260mbs left to download, the percentage of completion still goes up but very slowly, if one does not not pay attention to that you could mistake it for being an error. The fact is that I realized it was installing the updates while still having 260mbs left to download which will be installed later. Just have patience and you will see it's true. Mine has gone from 70% at 260mbs left to past 80% completion while still at 260mbs left. Problem solved :) -Flameman9806-
EDIT-: After waiting for about 1 hour it has gone from being stuck at 260mbs at 70% to finally downloading again once reaching 91%.
I'm having the same issue! just got my new laptop today, no internet issues
UPDATE: I tried repairing, with no luck.

This is not a bug, and this is normal. At this point the client pauses to verify files and extract them - please leave the client at this point. It should take about an hour to complete this stage, and will continue normally.
I was playing earlier today, it froze up, and I could not restart League, Had to Uninstall and currently trying to Reinstall
Having the same issue, and to the people saying that this is normal I can assure you this is not. I have been stuck at 260mb and 56% for almost an hour without the percentage moving at all. Firewalls are off so that shouldn't be the issue either. Someone please help, this is really turning me off the game.
