LeaverBuster Bug? ...or Feature?

So, I've taken a year+ break from League and just came back a couple days ago. Over the course of two days, I've played about 8 games. The first seven were played to completion. The 8th, my PC unexpectedly overheated, and by the time I got back in LoL, that match had concluded.

Instantly hit with a 20-minute low priority queue penalty for FIVE games. I totally understand not wanting people to AFK, but ONE leave in 8 games after not playing for over a year seems a bit excessive, to the "this could be a bug" degree. And it kind of discourages people from getting back into things after a break.

Just my thoughts.

EDIT: a bit more information. I took this break because my internet connection at the time had become unstable, and I was getting hit with a lot of leaves I didn't deserve and had no control over. Realizing that I shouldn't continue ruining mine and my fellow summoners' games, I took a break until I had better internet: now.

I guess leaverbuster never forgets? But that kind of sucks, because my particular behavior in this situation is one I'd think you'd want to encourage.

Hey man: sadly leaverbuster is a buggy new feature! jk, but it is terrible, in a sense that it wrongly "punishes" some players who do no wrong. i got hit with a low priority queue as well for having a bad internet connection and it's just plain unfair. Leauge will not help, i submitted a ticket explaining my situation in detail and they still were unsympathetic and stood by stupid reasoning that just didn't make sense, in the long run, i didn't get any help and have discontinued playing the game, as i am not and will not accept being punished for doing no wrong. i was bullied all my life and RIOT is keeping the trend going :/ if i were you, i would find a better game with a better community, and better morals then LOL, since the moderators dont seem to care about anybody at all, they dont ban the douchebags and they "punish" people who are undeserving.
