Hextech Loot Bug

I got myself a free key fragment for being a good little boy and when I realized I had three fragments, I went ahead and crafted my key. After doing so I unlocked a chest and poof! What did I get you ask? Well, I didn't get anything. Literally nothing. The box and key just disappeared. I'm not that upset since most of the time it's nothing significant in the chests but I'm just putting this out there that the bug exists and happened to me.

It occurred while updating to patch 8.3 while logged into the client. I tried re-logging twice but to no avail.
