I died while my ultimate was up several times and made it really frustrating to deal with in game.

Smite can kill Trynd during his ult, and Fizz during E, and Vlad durign W....

Yeah this is such an annoying bug I died during my ulti and the enemy viktor said "cry bitch" so people are noticing the bug and taking advantage of the bug. Riot pls.

I've also been having this issue. I don't care if smite is true damage, his ult literally says Trynd is UNKILLABLE while its up. This needs fixed, a 90 sec cd ult shouldn't be 100% negated by a 30 sec cd summoner spell.

I also had this happen. I believe it is from the true damage that comes from the new smite items. It happened to me against a skarner ... and the skarner jungle was the only one that could kill me during my ult.

I had a case of this as well, except in my situation a Fiora's ult ate Tryndamere's ult AND my Guardians Angel revive. This occurred twice in 1 game. I couldn't end the game in one of the occurrences as a result. I'm positive Riot will take note of this and fix it in the next patch, I hope so anyway.

It isn't just smite, it's a bug with other spells as well, though I'm not sure what the limit ascertains to.

Hi there! Thanks for reporting this, The Best Godyr!

We have been working on this, and there should be a fix out for this soon. Tryndamere should be back to his rageful, unkillable form soon.

This bug extends to interactions with Guardian Angel. Essentially, Tryndamere can be killed, proc GA, then with a mistimed R, activate and waste his ult while he's being resurrected, effectively wasting two rather long cooldowns. Would love to know if this is intended or not.
