Placements: LP resetting every game?

I got into rank in the league after my first placement game. Then I played one more game and won. I logged off being Bronze 1 70 LP. I played a game today and won and instead of going to Bronze 2 placements or whatever, I got a screen with Bronze 1 +70LP. It seems that every game I play (placements) my lp just resets to 0. I thought you went up one division after every victory but it seems like I'm just stuck??

You have 5 separate rankings this season, if you played separate roles in those games, they would have counted for different roles. For example You can be silver mid but low bronze support if that's something you're bad at, and it won't cause you to lose massive LP on your main role when you play other roles
