Unable to lock in

Just qued for a rank game, ban phase i picked the champion and clicked lock in. the lock in button then greyed out and my ban was not locked in. i was left spam clicking it for the remaining 10 seconds with nothing happening and ended up being kicked for not banning.. riot pls..
