not sure if i should put this in player moderation or here....but what is the max for magic pen?

does anyone know what the max magic pen is? these were my runes for this game below as well as a link to the runes that i used im sure you can check it from the match history but figured i would save everyone the time by linking it and uploading anyways cause why not

since it is pretty maxed out on the magic pen it should work against tanks right? idk if it was scripts or anything but tbh im not sure if it is fair if there is no counter to tanks with at least magic pen i know you cant counter tanks with all ap so i figured i would use magic pen since magic resist and health fully counters ap i didnt think that tanks can counter magic pen...evn if they get magic resist or health... but please let me know if i got any information incorrectly and if this belongs to players moderation i will repost.

thank you for taking the time out to read this but i was curious how to counter tanks with ap items since i know magic pen is an ap item very similar to ap items being dmg items

First, I recommend probuilds.net for rune pages, because yours is not focusing on anything in particular. and check out some guides, cus u usually get only 1 kind of quints, 1 kind of marks, 1 kind of seal and 1 kind of glyphs. Sometimes you can have 2 types of glyphs and 2 types of quints, but not much else. Marks are offensive, seals defensive in terms of health\armor, glyhps defensive like mr or utilitary like cd, stuff like that. You usually want some offensive and some defensive (health, mr, and/or armor) in every page. more in guides... My magic pen page for instance is 9.0 armor from seals, 7.8 magic pen from marks and 26 ap from quints and glyphs. An ap page is 9.0 armor from seals, 5.4 mr from half glyphs, and 26 ap from quints and marks.

Second, you were a support, so Idk what you were expecting to do in terms of damage. The magic pen items atm are: Liandry's torment, Sorcerer's shoes, void staff (the only thing you had) and abyssal scepter.

Magic pen can be countered hard by building HP. Even if you have all the pen items, tanks have more MR than normal units unless they're not building it.

You should have gotten Liandry's early if you were having trouble with tanks rather than Void staff.
