Tryndamer vs red jungler item

Casting the red jungle item on trynd allows him to be killed well ulted. If i remember correctly true damage isn't supposed to kill him.

I may be misreading but well ulted Tryndamere still recieves all damage, he just refuses to go below 1 health. Therefore he's not breaking the game mechanics since he's still recieving the true damage.
