[Gameplay] Katarina's Passive and CC

I noticed something playing Malzahar against a Katarina. She had jumped in and threw a dagger up (as new Kat is wont to do), but I hit her with Nether Grasp before it landed. While she was suppressed, her passive still picked up her dagger and did a chunk of damage to me (again, she had Shunpo'd in, so she was close) allowing her team to come kill me before she died.

Is this working as intended? Should she be able to pick up daggers and spin for damage while controlled? I hate to say it doesn't seem realistic in a game where an ice bird can fight a toxic rat, but it seems a bit strong.

She only has to touch the dagger for it to activate her passive. She does not need to shunpo to it. It is working as intended. Out of the current reworked Assassin's she sits relatively as one of the most balanced, that being said it's not unlikely she'll see further changes.

It's supposed to do that; CC does not cancel abilities.

Depends on the CC and depends on the ability. That damn bs of katarina got me killed twice. While she was "suppressed" she should not be able to use any abilities. So her passive kicking is bs, riot needs to say something if this isn't a bug, and chars are suppressed to be able to use abilities while suppressed.
