Thunderlord's Decree LeBlanc Bug?

I was playing a game yesterday as Cass against a LeBlanc and I noticed that LeBlanc can just cast 2 spells and still trigger Thunderlord's Decree, usually with just Q+R. A friend told me she probably threw in an auto attack to trigger it. So I decided to test it out today in a custom against a Soraka Bot.

I first tested 3 autos just to make sure that works fine (which it does). I then tried Q+R ONLY (no auto attack) and it triggered Thunderlord's. I also tried using her E with a combination of 1 auto attack and also E+Q and Thunderlord's also triggers.

So at this time, I concluded that Thunderlord's triggers off the number instances of damage and not necessarily the number of spells. So I decided to try it on Vayne and her condemn and see if I get the same results. Turns out I still need to auto attack once to trigger Thunderlord's.

I haven't tried it on any other champions so far but it would be interesting to see if this happens on any other champions as it does to LeBlanc. Either way, it's not consistent on every champion and should be looked into.

EDIT: After viewing some replies, I believe the description of Thunderlord's should be changed so it explains instances of damage and not necessarily spells. ALSO I did the Vayne testing again and I realized it is working like the other spells. 1 condemn into wall plus auto triggers auto (I derped on that the first time).

It works the same way with spellthief's. The intial Q damage counts as one hit, and the proccing of the sigil counts as another hit.

Same with Leblanc's E. The initial hit of the chains and then the proc of the snare.

I believe other champions work the same way too, such as Morgana's ulti. The initial damage hit and then the second hit+stun. One spell counts as two instances of damage.

I would assume because of the proc on her Q. Q dmg (1), R proc off first Q + regular base dmg (2,3)

Not a bug. LeBlanc's Q is a two part spell.

LeBlanc's Q and E both apply damage in two parts, each of which counts as hitting them with an abilities.

If you want similar examples, look at:

  • Akali's Q
  • Morgana's R
  • Karma's W

AFAIK, if it applies spell-effects or on-hit effects, it counts as an ability hit for the purpose of Thunderlord's Decree.

I know for a fact that Lux can proc Trunderlord's Decree by hitting someone with an ability and autoattacking them to detonate her passive.

That's how it works. For example, Ahri's W alone can proc thunderlord (3 fires = 3 hits).

Well if these examples work, then why doesn't Vayne's condemn work when the champion hits a wall? Either fix it with Vayne (and other champions if it doesn't work with them) so it's consistent across all champions or change the description on Thunderlord's Decree so it actually makes sense. Because technically, Ahri's W is one spell, not 3, yet it procs Thunderlord's when all 3 firebolts hit.

EDIT: After looking back at my Vayne test, I realized I derped and it does work with her condemn properly.
