or perhaps its when brand has already done his ultimate and it hits once and bounced between the two of us that the shield did not block the second bounce even though i shielded him before the second bounce hit. this was a split second thing, however, i ulted a friendly master yi and he died before my ultimate (at max rank 3 seconds) ran out. i'd say brand ulted and the guy died 1.5 seconds later either from the tick or the second hit of brand's ultimate.
