Jungle items

While playing a ranked, I was Jarven IV, and I saw that I could buy a jungle item without smite. So I did it (because I wanted to know if it was a new update I didn't see... stupid me). I had a brutalizes, and it build into the enchantment Warriors (Correct me on spelling/words) and when I bought it, it took my brutalizes, and didn't give me anything, thus taking 2000~ gold from me, in ranked, and losing my armor pen. An d because no purchase took place, I couldn't "undo" it. Anyone else have this happen?
