Error during Draft/Ranked games

Multiple time now where i've been put into games as support even though roles i select are entirely different from what i selected which is usually top or mid. I don't own a support champ because i don't play support after 6 years on this game. I play draft and rank because it keeps me from playing champs i don't want to play but i'm constantly being put into games under different roles. Also when this happens i usually dont have the ability to select a champ or when i do it doesn't register and kicks me from the lobby. Anyone else have this issue?
