Unable to play Ranked games with similarly ranked friends.

The above link is to my account on OP.GG. This shows my rank at the end of the 2015 Season, which is important to know to understand the extent of my problem.

At the start of the 2016 Season, I attempted to play ranked with my friends, who were all within two tiers of me. One friend was Gold 1, the others were Platinum 3 at the end of the 2015 Ranked season, as well as the 2016 PreSeason. My rank was Platinum 4. at the end of both the 2015 Season and 2016 PreSeason. None of these friends could invite me to a ranked game, I was considering that this might, perhaps, be a bug. When I made my own ranked lobby and attempted to invite them, their names were grayed out. When I hovered over their names, it said: "Please invite a player between Bronze and Gold." This was confusing to me, due to us all being Unranked at the time, and when we weren't Unranked we were within two tiers of each other.

I will also include this information if it is relevant. During the 2016 PreSeason, I requested to have my border removed, this was due to me not wanting the border out of frusteration that I was unable to get out of Platinum, despite being Platinum 1 multiple times, then tilting back down towards Plat 3 and 4.
