Thornmail procing on Firoras passive

So i don't know if it is supposed to or not but when i was play as Fiora against some one who purchased an thornmail i noticed that every time i proced my true damage passive i was being dealt the same amount of damage. (mind you this was happening with both my AA's and my Q)

Thornmail should just deal damage based on how much you do, so it shouldn't deal more because of hitting a vital since that isn't part of the auto attack damage, i think it isn't
