[CLIENT][CRASH] Game won't start // Game won't repair

A few minutes ago I had started a normals game, to try aatrox, and after champion select ended, instead of going into the game loading screen, it just showed me the window with the "reconnect" button, which did nothing just let me click it multiple times. After closing league of legends down fully in task manager and relaunching multiple times, nothing changed, so I decided to cut my losses, since I would have a dodge, and try and do a full repair. The thing is, though, every time I press "Initiate full repair", then hit yes on the following pop up window, I get a bug splat. New client.

Update: Going to uninstall the game, and reinstall. Which will take all night most likely. So much for trying aatrox.

I talked to a tech guy from riot and we did some troubleshooting on this exact problem, ultimately what worked was something with the DNS server in your system preferences? Maybe try researching that

I have just run into this problem and nothing is working. has there been any solution here. If so what steps did you have to take?

[sg-shisa] i got this problem too and its very annoying reinstalling league didnt work neither

Coming back to the game, I see this old post. If anyone still has this problem, reinstalling the game fixed the bug splat on repair, but ultimately what helped with the bug/crashes at the start of the game was turning off plays.tv. For me, anyways.
