Consistently High Ping After Voice Chat Launch; Game Unplayable.

Had approximately 65ms ping prior to Voice Chat launch.

Now every match has it resting between 70 - 80 when there's nothing happening and between 90 - 150 when there's combat.

I'm never connected to any voice chat.

This implementation of Voice Chat is utter crap and has rendered the game unplayable. Every skillshot I fire in a fight after Voice Chat launch has been off-target because this ping prevents accurately leading targets.

Support has been silent regarding this and it doesn't seem to be discussed much so maybe others aren't experiencing it. Doesn't change what it does for players that are affected though.

Even using Discord with League in the past didn't spike the ping this badly. Talk about a pisspoor implementation of voice chat.

I'm curious, did you have your screen freeze up during the game as well? My game has been crashing a lot lately and I am beginning to think it's something in the patch, which is why I'm here in the forums. I click to open shop and the game will stutter and freeze for a few seconds or freeze completely and play audio on loop. The only way I could solve the permanent freeze was holding down my power button to restart. It's been incredibly frustrating and as you said, makes the game unplayable.

Exact same problems and I agree, it's unplayable. Especially if you're playing anything that's not a tank.

I play Teemo, and it's pretty much mandatory for me to dodge all sorts of stuff. The last game I played was days ago against a Darius with Fleet Footwork, and I just couldn't react fast enough to evade his pulls. That shit is already hard enough as it is.

The high latency is bad, but the fact that it fluctuates so much is even worse. I have to step away until this is resolved.

I am experience the same thing islts driving me insane like have to surrender if that's even possible with the complete dissconect which occurs at the worst parts of the lag I've never been lagged once before while playing on my new laptop I've been playing on for 6 months now. I really hope this gets fixed soon I just spent about $80 on skins over the last two days and I'd really like to be using them and to experience their effects :(

May want to invest in better internet hamsters, then, if a VOIP causes that much of an issue.

I've been experiencing ping about 20 higher than normal which fluctuates up and down since a few days ago. incredibly frustrating. not only that but there have been disconnection issues in many of my game, where sometimes as many as all 10 people are disconnecting and reconnecting at random.

Tonight, starting between 10 and 11 CST:

Game 1: Normal ping (37-38).

Game 2: -Joined a party, ping went to 200. -Left voice chat, ping dropped to 120. -Rejoined voice chat, ping stayed at 120.

Left party to test custom game, ping normal.

Game 3: -Rejoined party, disconnected from voice chat, next game's ping was 120. -Most of the way through the game, ping dropped back to normal.

Don't know what to make of this, exactly, apart from the problem was very clearly related to being in a group.
