Ranked Champion Select Bug Kicks Me Out

Yesterday, I jumped into a ranked game and got into champ select. I know if you don't lock in a ban or your champ when it's your turn, it kicks you out. The problem was, I was deciding between two champs to play on top lane, so i was clicked on Olaf but not locked in. Well right at the 8 second mark until I would have to lock it, it kicked me out of the select, and made me lose 3 LP. I can understand if the timer hits 1 and I don't have it locked in yet, but 8 seconds? That is just ridiculous. In the end I only had to win one more game to get into my series anyways, so the 3 LP loss wasn't that big of a deal. It was just frustrating because my LP gets affected because of a game client error. I don't know if this is a common issue, but some feedback about the topic would be appreciated. Thank You.
