Vladimir's pool of blood Inconsistency
I have noticed a few inconsistencies with Vladimir's sanguine pool move. As you know, when Vlad uses his sanguine pool he goes into a literal pool of blood and becomes untargetable for a couple of seconds. However, if another champion uses a move on him before he goes into pool that has a tether, like Karma's focused resolve, Swain's decripify, Morgana's soul shackles, or Fiddlesticks' drain there seems to be some inconsistencies with how these abilities effect Vladimir. Below I am going to name all the effects I have seen, playing my favorite champ.
Karma's focused resolve - The tether stays on Vlad if he stays in range, and Vlad is rooted by the effect if the time expires, however he takes no damage.
Swain's Decripify - The tether stays on Vlad if he stays in range, however Vlad is not slowed or does he take damage while in pool form. If Vlad comes out of the pool and the tether is still on him (he never got out of range) Vlad is slowed again and starts taking damage again for the rest of the duration.
Morgana's soul shackles - If Vlad tries to use sanguine pool to dodge the damage and the stun, what happens appears to be random. More than once I have taken the damage and the stun, and more than once I have gotten stunned but not damaged.
Fiddlesticks' Drain - The only real reason I made this post. If Vlad uses Sanguine pool after Fiddlesticks has started to use drain on him, Vlad takes the damage from Fiddlesticks Drain, as if he wasn't in a pool of blood. Now I know that this is a channeling ability by Fiddle and not a tether like the other abilities I have posted, however Vlad can dodge Karthus' ult with his sanguine pool, which is also a channeling ability. I believe this is the biggest bug with Sanguine Pool.
Leblanc's Ethereal Chains - Vlad does not take damage from the ability nor is he slowed by it after he pools, however he does get rooted after it expires if he stays in range even if he still is in pool of blood.
Nocturne's Unspeakable Horror - Vlad can dodge the fear from this after the tether expires if he is in a pool, kind of unfair for nocturne players.
Fiora's blade waltz - Vlad can dodge all damage if he uses the pool right when she starts the ult, just put this here to reiterate my Fiddlesticks' argument.
(something odd) Veigar's Event Horizon - If Veigar puts down the wall, and then vlad uses sanguine pool, he can go right through it no problem. If Vlad is in sanguine pool and Veigar puts the wall down on top of him, or next to him and Vlad tries to go through it, he is stunned, and he will come out of pool stunned if the pool expires before the stun does.
I think that is it. Overall I think that Vladimir's Sanguine Pool is one of the best moves in the game, and I use it a lot with him for tricky escapes or to dodge damage during a duel. However I think that his pool should be treated as the active for Zhona's Hourglass. Tether's shouldn't have cc effects if he is in pool, walls like Veigar's and Karthus's shouldn't effect him if he is in pool form, and most of all Fiddlesticks' drain. Holy Crap is that broken. The whole point of Sanguine Pool is to dodge damage or cc effects, and Fiddle goes right through it. Seriously it is the only reason Fiddle counters Vlad so hard and it is the only reason I decided to test these effects, both in private games and in real games. I hope you all look into this, Thank you.
