League client friends list cant be sorted [CLIENT]

I used to have my friends list in my client sorted by Group Offline as well as having manually sorted between two groups: 1. General (where I kept a small number of close friends) and 2. a second folder that kept a larger group of friends. Recently ( I dont know when specifically) my friends list has been unsorted and every friend is listed under the General folder. Attempting to resort my friends list into appropriate folders results in the corresponding folder to show that it has increased in size (from 0/45 to 1/46 and 2/47) however the tab will not show anybody in the folder. Upon dragging someone to the folder there is also an error message ("WOAH slow down there Rammus!"). Shortly after dragging them to the new folder the folder will also return to its original state (0/45).

Creating new folders will not allow me to sort to those folders (Same results/error messages). The auto-sort options work ( Group Offline, Group League +, and Group Games & Servers).
