Chose a champion and yet i apparently dodged

I'm currently sitting at a 6-minute timer for "queue dodging" in normals. I picked my champion, and was fixing my masteries, and clicked save as the champions were locked in. The game then kicked me out of the lobby, stating I had not picked a champion when I clearly did. Those are the steps, nothing much else to add other than the fact that I'm pissed about having to wait, which will end up with me probs tilting to the point where I won't win a game for the rest of the day.
