Champion did not recall or attempt to go back to base when ally disconnected

So I didn't get screenshot or video of the bug, but it happened between 7 min - 10 min of this game. While in lane my lane partner (Jinx) game crashed and she disconnected. However once disconnected the character stood in lane solid, other then recalling immediatly or running back to lane. The whole time I (Nami) had to run around her healing her in attempts to keep her alive in hopes the champion would go back to the alter. The bot's advanced on me, killed me then killed my ally.

I was thinking maybe the character didn't back cause I was interacting with it? I was using my heals on Jinx the moment my ally disconnected.

*My ally did rejoin the match after her champion died, her game crashed, she's not at fault for leaving, and did come back.
