Profile's Ghost?

So I log onto league and check my friends list for anyone to play with. I see this one guy and hover over his name, the little playercard that shows their recent champ, win count, it wouldn't load. I think, "Huh that's weird" then I look him up on the whole Summoner database to see what's up with this guy. He has no player profile anywhere. He's just there, on my friends list. What's up with this?

EDIT: Forgot to mention but I also looked him up on the league player lookup, no one found with the name.
