Champion select bug

I joined champion select and it said I had yet to connect to the lobby. I was still able to talk in chat but was unable to select my champion. This was counted as a dodge and I had to wait for the penalty. Has this happened to anyone else or just me?

I seen it happen to my friend and a few players in my recent matches. This glitch seems to happen quite frequently so I hope Rito can jump on it ASAP.
