Input Loss Bug (Middle of 9.3)
Has anyone been experiencing periods of input-loss on this patch? I'm having this super annoying issue where all mouse clicks/spell casts/etc (any input whatsoever while in-game) will just be lost for random periods of about 1-2s (that's a LONG time when you're trying to farm mid without getting hit by any of Zoe's whimsical and fun abilities...).
I know this might sound like a ping/internet issue, but I have had stable 64ish ping throughout all of these experiences. There was also no delayed spell animations/movement from other players during these periods of input-loss, which is what you would expect to see happen during spikes in latency.
I'm tabling ideas such as:
-
my SSD being too full (only about 40GB free after I installed Apex, and the problem only occurred after I installed it, although not immediately. I played multiple games after having Apex installed before the issue started cropping up. It has only happened in my last two most recent games, and now I'm paranoid haha)
-
issues with hardware (the problem seems to be alleviated somewhat if I switch to a different USB port with my mouse, but that solution only worked fully in today's game and partially in yesterday's game. It is worth noting that there is no actual difference in the nature of these USB ports, AND the one the mouse was plugged into for today's game was the one I switched to during the same experience yesterday to partially alleviate the problem, but again, it didn't work 100% like I did when I switched to yet another USB port...)
-
Google Chrome, or iTunes being open when I launch the game and messing with the client by being the poorly-optimized, boorish programs they are (especially Chrome)
If anyone has experienced something similar, it might be interesting to discuss. I saw Tyler1 having an issue that perfectly mirrored what I'm describing in this match here: https://youtu.be/f0h4ZEDyKl8?t=1726
At this point I'm leaning towards it being an issue with a different program like Razer Synapse or even the operating system (Windows 10) getting updated and messing with the game, because it has only happened very recently and in the middle of the patch (9.3), so unless Riot messed the game up with a hotfix they didn't announce (it happens), something like that is probably the most likely explanation. But it still isn't a solution...
I'll try to get a clip of it happening to me in-game and put it in the replies here if I get the chance.
